- L-1 visas for the international transfers of managers, executives and specialized knowledge workers.
- Blanket L petitions for multinational corporations and "New Office" L petitions for start-up companies.

- E-1 Treaty Trader and E-2 Treaty Investor visas for investors, managers, executives and essential employees.
- TN visas for professionals from Mexico and Canada.
- H-2B Temporary Worker visas.
- O and P visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, performers and athletes.
- Obtaining U.S. permanent residence through employment, investment and family relationships.
- Processing visas at U.S. consular posts abroad.
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification compliance.
- Immigration planning for mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Dan was a member of the International Section at Williams Mullen and a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas S. Kenny and the Honorable Jonathan C. Thacher in the Circuit Court of Fairfax County.
Dan has authored and edited several publications on immigration law, and speaks frequently about immigration issues to professional and bar organizations.
Dan is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association and has been selected as one of "Virginia's Legal Elite" in Immigration Law by Virginia Business magazine.
