Tom is a member of the McCandlish Holton Tax Department and Labor and Employment Group with a primary emphasis on employee benefits. His clients include major financial institutions, employers in diverse industries, accountants and employee benefits consultants.
Tom has been practicing law with McCandlish Holton since 1994. Prior to joining the firm, Tom had 20 years of related experience, primarily as an officer of a major bank employee benefit trust department.
Tom is a member of the American Bar Association, (Taxation Section, Employee Benefits Committee, former Chair IRA Subcommittee), the Virginia State Bar (Taxation Section), the Richmond Bar Association (member Finance Committee) and the Central Virginia Employee Benefits Council (former president).
Tom is a member of the Retirement Benefits Editorial Board of Trusts and Estates Magazine, the Journal of Wealth Management for Estate Planning Professionals, in which he has had several articles published.
